A BRAND new literature festival is launching in South Gloucestershire this weekend.
Award-winning author Will Self and best-selling writer Sathnam Sanghera are among the guests taking part in the first Cotswold Edge Literary Festival.
Opening on Saturday, the eight-day event also features an appearance from children’s author and adult poet AF Harold, who will holding a children's writing session at Frampton Cotterell CofE Primary School.
Ali Bacon will be leading a writers' workshop, Tristan Darby, owner of the Bristol Wine School, will be discussing alcohol in literature through the ages, and Susan Lewis will be chatting about her work.
Venues include Hampton's Deli in Chipping Sodbury, Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church, Yate Library and the Bristol and Bath Science Park.
The festival continues until June 24.
