A warrant has been issued for Thornbury resident Kia Hughes after she left Bristol Magistrates's Court before her trial had concluded
A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a Thornbury woman after she walked out of court before her trial was finished.
Kia Hughes, 24, of Stafford Crescent, Thornbury, was in attendance at Bristol Magistrates’ Court yesterday over two allegations of threatening messages sent in texts and on Facebook on May 23.
But after indicating a guilty plea for both counts, the case was temporarily adjourned and put back while related enquiries were to be made, and during the interval, Hughes absconded from the court.
The warrant was subsequently issued for arrest without bail.
