Chipping Sodbury is hosting it's very own Gromit Trail.

The event is being called Chipping Sodbury's Summer Search, and will encourage participants to find cuddly Gromit's in shop windows on the High Street.

The 'trail' has been organised by the Chipping Sodbury Chamber of Commerce as they look to encourage more members of the public to visit the area and the businesses on the street.

Michelle Baden-Daintree is one of the chairs of the Chamber, and has stated how 'excited' she is that the secondary Gromit trail is starting.

"The Summer search has always been a favourite activity of ours to run throughout the Summer," she said.

"This year we are thrilled to be a sponsor of the Gromit Unleashed 2 public arts trail, and have put together a fantastic Gromit themed search around the windows of the High Street for children to really have fun."

All who want to participate in the event can collect a search map from the Tourist Centre on the High Street. The aim is to document every activity that the different Gromit cuddly toys are doing, this will then leave one activity which the toys will not be doing. The activity which is not being performed by one of the Gromit's and submit their entry back to the Tourist Information Centre.

22 winners will be selected, and each will win of the editions of Gromit cuddly toys involved in the trail.

The Summer Search is free for all to enter, however the Chamber are asking for donations for the 'Grand Appeal', which will go to the Bristol Children's Hospital.
