A fire started in Thornbury last night is thought to have been started deliberately.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Castle School Sixth Form playing fields at 9.32pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, August 9).
Two crews from Thornbury used two high-pressure hose reels and beaters to extinguish the 30x30metre fire.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to reports of a grass fire off Hillcrest in Thornbury last night at about 10.45pm. An area of about 30m square was damaged.
"We are treating the incident as deliberate."
