Gloucestershire County Cricket League
Division Seven
Woodmancote 2nds 56-0
Cam 2nds 234-7
Match abandoned
CAM 2NDS saw their meeting with Woodmancote abandoned due to adverse weather conditions - a major shame given the lofty 234 run total they had set in their innings.
At the Bushcombe Close Ground, the visitors didn’t get off to the best start, with openers Adam Ford (2) and Chris Wilcox (10) falling cheaply.
Steve Rice (44) brought stability to the innings and was backed up by the impressive Tom Hancock (57).
William Hayward (54) and Graeme Brown (20) played their part in the middle-to-late order, giving Cam a fantastic total that Woodmancote would have done well to reach.
Unfortunately it didn’t matter, as the game was abandoned after Ollie Nightingale (37) and Rob Sharp (8) had helped to amass 56 runs.
The seconds next face Down Hatherley at Everlands on Saturday, August 18.
