AN 18-YEAR-OLD woman from Malmesbury is hosting a Cancer Charity Gala Ball in South Cerney this weekend.

Mollie Reynolds is hosting the ball to raise money for Cancer Research UK, with the disease close to home.

Mollie’s mum Nicola Reynolds, was first diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37, with Mollie aged just seven and her brother Sam only nine.

Nicola fought and beat the disease but just four years later she relapsed with Mollie only 11 and Sam only 13.

Thankfully Nicola beat cancer twice but the memories of the ordeal will stay with Mollie forever, describing the feeling as ‘indescribable’.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 18 from 7pm to midnight at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel, South Cerney.

It will be a black tie event with a hot food buffet, disco and raffle.

Tickets are £45 for a single adult ticket, £400 for a table of 10.

Businesses which would like to help by donating to the raffle can email cancerball2018@gmail.com
