A LONG-RUNNING flower show and fayre is returning to a Gloucestershire village.
Cromhall Horticultural Society are holding the annual show at St Andrew's school field, Cromhall, on Saturday, September 1.
Horticultural competitions include vegetables, fruit and flowers as well as cooking, crafts and photography.
As part of the fayre there will be martial arts displays, a dog show, coconut shy and Punch and Judy show.
The show will begin at 2pm and at the end flowers and produce will be auctioned off.
This will be the show's 72nd year having first been held in 1945 to welcome home soldiers from World War II.
Entry into the show costs £2 for adults and £1 for children.
Competition entry cost 20p for adults and 10p for children and are welcome from residents of Cromhall, neighbouring villages and from further afield.
Any entries must be handed into Cromhall Village Shop before 5pm or Tony Bryant, 7 Drews Orchard, Cromhall, before 7pm on Thursday, August 30.
