POLICE are appealing for witnesses after man suffered head and facial injuries after being assaulted Stroud earlier this month.

At approximately 10.30pm on Friday, August 17, a man was assaulted inside Stroud Kebab World on King Street and the incident then continued onto the street.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was treated by the ambulance service for facial and head injuries.

Members of the public who had been in the Curio Lounge opposite then intervened and police are keen to speak to these people.

At the time of the offence the offender was wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and dark coloured shoes.

He is described as a white man, aged in his early 30s and around 5ft 6ins tall.

A 30-year-old man from Stroud has been interviewed under caution in connection with the incident.
