Have you ever given opera a go? Or have you often dismissed it maybe a little too quickly?
If you like music, theatre, a great song and beautiful voices, Stroud is the place to be in October.
Pop-Up Opera will present La Tragedie de Carmen, a reimagining of Bizet's intense and tragic popular opera classic.
It’s a familiar story of love, passion and unhinged jealousy played out in a thought-provoking series of Don Jose’s tormented flashbacks as the consequences of his actions are laid bare.
If you're looking for a great night out, thrilling live performance and fantastic spectacle – then maybe opera could be your thing after all?
Find out on Friday, October 5 at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud. 7.30pm Tickets £19 advance from subscriptionrooms.org.uk
