THE DIRECTORS of Stroud Book Festival are delighted to announce events with Prue Leith and Oz Clarke, providing a fabulous foodie finale to the 2018 Festival.

On the afternoon of November 11 restaurateur, chef, businesswoman, novelist, founder of the world-famous Leith’s Cookery Schools, and most recently judge on TV’s much-loved Great British Bake-Off, Prue Leith will take to the stage.

She will be in conversation with Stroud Book Festival artistic director, Caroline Sanderson to talk about Prue: My All-Time Favourite Recipes, her first cookbook for 25 years.

Following Prue will be world-renowned wine expert Oz Clarke who will join the festival for an event set to educate and elevate our taste buds.

Oz will be in conversation with Stroud Book Festival director, Paul McLaughlin, where he will discuss his new book, Red & White: An Unquenchable Thirst for Wine,.

In which he combines autobiography with a guide to the wines he loves best today, along with the reasons why.

Stroud Book Festival’s artistic director Caroline Sanderson said that she is 'delighted' with the finale line up.

“I couldn’t be more delighted that the finale to this year’s Book Festival will be such a tasteful one!" she said.

"We much look forward to welcoming both Prue and Oz for a showstopping afternoon no foodie will want to miss”.

Now in its third year, the five-day book festival will be held at venues across Stroud from 7 to 11 November 2018.

It hopes to bring the best in new writing from some of the finest novelists, non-fiction writers, poets, children’s authors and storytellers from Gloucestershire and beyond.

Also appearing will be Mary Portas, Will McCallum ,Patrick Gale, Alan Johnson, Christie Watson and Sam Guglani.

Events for younger readers will include acclaimed illustrators Tony Ross and Michael Foreman.
