Ben Richards, 26, of Brunel Road, pleaded guilty to driving on the A419 in Eastington on September 2, whilst over the legal alcohol limit.
He also admitted to failing to provide a breath test and driving without a valid licence or insurance.
At a hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on September 19, the defendant was given a community order, to include 100 hours of unpaid work, and was told to pay a victim service surcharge of £85.
