The world has moved on in terms of what children expect from social interaction with their peers.
In the 1960s, children rarely met after dark unless it was at an organised event such as a scouts or brownies event.
There were no so-called sleep-overs and children went home to wear their pyjamas and sleep in their own beds.
Parties were a sit at the table affair and there was no “fast food” delivered by chap on a moped.
