Avoid the area if you can
The M5 is closed southbound at Avonmouth following a lorry fire on the motorway.
Firefighters from Avonmouth, Southmead and Patchway Fire Services are currently on the scene and are using breathing apparatus and four hose reels to tackle the blaze.
Traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads.
Please avoid the area.
