THORNBURY'S new and much improved official town guide is out this month.
The guide, funded entirely by advertising, has been updated and revamped to offer more information than past editions.
It includes a history of the town, new photographs, lists of town organisations with contact details and a comprehensive street map.
Deputy town clerk Sandra Richardson said: "This time around the guide has been totally revamped giving even useful information.
"The guide is always a useful source of information for many groups from the tourist to the resident or even for school projects."
The guide is available free of charge from the tourist information office in the Town Hall or electronically via www.thornburytowncouncil.gov.uk.
The tourist office is open Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) and Saturday (10am-1pm).
