HARD working ambulance staff received a dose of festive cheer when a Christmas tree was donated to brighten up their workplace.
A real tree and stand was donated to the South Western Ambulance Service Station in Dursley by the Dobbies Garden Centre team near Stonehouse.
The ambulance team which is based in Dursley Community Fire And Rescue Station often spend long hours away from family which can be challenging at this time of year
Ange Williams, who works at the station on Kingshill Road, said they frequently feel 'overlooked' and are grateful to Dobbies.
“It was very kind of them to think of us,” she said.
“We frequently get overlooked and Christmas is such a vital time to be away from your families doing very long shifts.
“Our crew room is a second home for many of us.”
“When working 12+ hour shifts, our crew room is where we chill when on break, swap over and prepare for shifts.
“The more homely we can make it, the more rested we can be on what is usually a very stressful and full on shift.
“So a big thank you to Dobbies, it's much appreciated from all the Crew at Dursley Ambulance Station.”
