A WOMAN and two children were killed in a road crash in Sharpness today.

Police have confirmed that the occupants of the Landrover involved in the collision with a lorry were a woman and two children and all were pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has been informed.

The driver of the lorry was airlifted to hospital where his injuries were described as not serious.

The B4066 remains closed at the Station Road and Old Minster Road roundabouts while police and emergency services carry out their investigations.

Due to the lack of access, lorries traveling towards Sharpness Docks are advised to divert to Michael Wood Services, between junction 13 and 14 of the M5, where parking provision has been laid on.
