POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers robbed a 14-year-old boy in Gloucester last Wednesday.

The teen had been playing alone on the basketball courts at the park near The Crypt School off Podsmead Road when he was approached by two unknown boys on Wednesday, September 20 at around 6pm.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said: "The pair approached the boy, they asked him for his basketball.

"The boy gave them the ball but the pair then refused to give it back to him, and when he tried to take his ball back the other two made threats.

"They then opened up a bag and showed the victim what appeared to be the handle of a kitchen knife and the boy left the park.

"The two teenage boys were described as being white, aged around 15 or 16, with slight stubble above the lip and they were wearing black face coverings and puffer style jackets.

"They had a silver and black bike and a yellow bike and they approached the park from the direction of the A38."

Police are keen to hear from anyone who was nearby at the time or may have CCTV or dashcam footage of those involved.
