POLICE are appealing for information after a man suffered a head injury after being chased during an assault last night in Cheltenham.
The man was walking with a friend along Princess Elizabeth Way towards Kingsmead Road when they were approached and chased by a group, yesterday, Saturday, September 30.
It is believed the incident happened from between 7pm and 7.30pm.
The man ran onto Orchard Way, where the assault happened, and his friend was chased towards Coronation Square.
It is believed the alleged offenders then left the scene in a black vehicle.
The man was treated by ambulance staff. His head wound was not deemed to be serious.
Gloucestershire Police say they now want to track down a group of males who have been ‘linked’ to the incident.
