A NEW addition to the shopping centre in Yate will be in place soon.

A vegan market will be appearing at the centre for the first time on Saturday, February 24.

Visitors will be able to browse a range of products from local and national independent businesses including incredible street food, sweet bakes and treats, deli items like vegan cheese, arts and crafts, charities and much more.

Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre manager, said: “We like to offer centre visitors new attractions and working with Vegan Fairs are pleased to welcome the vegan market to Yate for the first time.

“Vegan Fairs aims to make its events attractive, bringing the vibe and feel of larger vegan food festivals down to a local level.

"They work with local vegan-friendly businesses and independent vegan founded businesses from across the South-West. Expect plant-based food, ethical clothing brands, cruelty-free beauty products, and eco-friendly household items - all from local, independent companies.”

A spokesperson for Vegan Fairs said: “We pride ourselves on making our vegan events accessible and not just for vegans but to be enjoyed by people from all walks of life.”

The market will be in the Central Square from 9am to 5pm.
