A VITAL charity in Thornbury has launched a new campaign in hopes of bringing people together.
JIGSAW is encouraging families, groups and organisations to host their own get-togethers to provide safe space for people to connect.
It is part of their new scheme which aims to tackle isolation and improve wellbeing.
The charity works with all children and young people aged 0 to 25 with additional needs or disabilities as well as their families.
It is also hoped people will help fundraise for the charity during their events.
JIGSAW previously held an event at the Tesoro Lounge in the town on Blue Monday last month and also an event last Saturday hosted by volunteers.
A charity spokesperson said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone in the community who came along to support our launch event at Tesoro Lounge and our Jolly JIGSAW Get Together event last Saturday.
“Our young people did a fantastic job serving cakes and sweet treats kindly donated by the Co-op in Thornbury, who also gave us space in their store for an information stall.
“From the stall we were able to create awareness of our life changing services and signpost shoppers to our event.
“Our combined Jolly JIGSAW Get Together events throughout January have raised an amazing £226.39 in total.
"Please host your own Jolly JIGSAW Get Together to help friends and family feel more connected and boost community wellbeing, while raising funds for our charity."
