A FREE course is being run to help people beat the credit crunch with budgeting hints and tips.
Ex-financial advisor, Tony McNulty, has teamed up with Stroud College to offer free guidance to people in Dursley.
The course, which will run over three sessions, will be held at Dursley Education Centre and will teach people how to manage their household budget, plan for unexpected extras and save for treats and special occasions.
Centre manager, Emma Clark, said: "Everyone is stressed about money at the moment. For a lot of people there’s not enough coming in and it seems to disappear so quickly.
"We piloted a similar course at GL11 Community Project in Cam which people found really helpful."
Mr McNulty said: "Some people are embarrassed about talking money but most of us are in the same boat. The course will be relaxed and informal.
"We won’t go into details about how much everyone earns or owes and it doesn’t matter if you’re rubbish with numbers."
The course starts on Thursday, November 6 and runs until November 20, every Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. For more information call the Education Centre on 01453 542060.
