YOUNGSTERS at a Yate primary school have been given a sporting chance of success with the donation of equipment.
Pavilion Sports, on Chipping Sodbury High Street, has handed over £100 of sports equipment to pupils at Rodford Primary School following a Christmas colouring competition.
The children were given a Kwik Cricket set and bats and balls by the specialist cricket and running shop, which is hoping to help other schools in South Gloucestershire.
Vouchers to spend in store were also given to the three winners of the competition, Miles Wiltshire-Copperthwaite, nine, Emily Gibson, 11, and Sophie Banwell, 10.
Tim Lund, from Pavilion Sports, said: "If there are any schools in the South Gloucestershire area interested in taking part in a competition with us we would like them to get in touch."
