SAVING the green belt and speeding motorists are the key concern for residents in Wick, it has emerged.
People have spoken out about their fears for the village during a visit from Northavon MP Steve Webb.
More than 100 people had their say on everything from parking to policing when Mr Webb and local councillors conducted a doorstep consultation.
"There is no substitute for getting out on the doorstep, meeting local residents and hearing their experiences at first hand," said Mr Webb.
"We had a very positive response from people across the area who appreciated the chance to have their say.
"We will be carefully studying the replies that we received and will be taking action on the issues that residents have raised."
The main issues raised were: - traffic speed and volume along the A420 through Wick - the need for more visible local policing - support for the campaign to save the green belt from housing development; - problems with parking in local streets.
