OVER £10,000 worth of washing machines were stolen from a lay-by during the night.
The lorry load of Hotpoint Indesit washing machines were stolen from a lorry between 6pm on Wednesday, September 30 and 6am on Thursday, October 1 while it was parked in a lay-by on the A38 southbound at Woodford.
During this time unknown offenders cut a hole in the lorry’s tarpaulin and stole the 61 machines, model number TVR2, worth around £180 each.
