Suspected abduction attempt in Pucklechurch sparks police investigation


POLICE have launched an investigation following reports of an attempted abduction in Pucklechurch.

A nine-year-old boy was walking close to his home on Shortwood Road when he was approached by a couple in a black car.

A police spokesman said: "It is believed that the man got out of the car and made a movement towards the boy, who then ran home.

"The vehicle is believed to have then driven off in the direction of Siston."

It happened at around 1.30pm on Sunday, March 14 and police are now appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has any information, to come forward.

The man is described as white, of stocky build, 5ft 11in tall and about 36 years old. He was thought to have short light brown hair, was clean shaven, and was believed to be wearing a light coloured T-shirt and dark jeans.

The woman is described as white, aged 29-30, with long straight black hair.
