SIR - Since David Drew, MP for Stroud, is a member of a government that thinks it's perfectly acceptable to murder innocent human beings in other countries I'll thank him not to lecture me on morality (Your Point of View, October 3).

If Mr Drew feels a little uneasy about a few foxes being despatched efficiently by some dogs - far better than poisoning hundreds more which is all his government's Hunting Bill will achieve - then he should follow my example. I don't go hunting.

He needs to sit down and re-examine his priorities and start concentrating on issues that are of far more importance to his constituents. On my list of priorities the welfare of vermin certainly doesn't rate higher than that of humans. It comes a long way down the list, several places below pensioners, housing and jobs.
