SIR - Conservative Michael Howard has yet again adopted UKIP policy. He has suddenly decided he wants to stem the vast flow of foreigners into the country.
Unfortunately the three main parties in Westminster are bound by the Treaty of Maestricht (signed by John Major) rendering them powerless to do anything except talk about immigration.
The EU controls our shores and these politicians are powerless to act. They are men of straw. UKIP being dedicated to ending EU control of our country are in no way so bound and need only the support of the British people in the coming election to get our country back where it belongs. Under British rule.
