STUDENTS were riding high in Winterbourne after receiving their GCSE results.
At Winterbourne International Academy, which is part of the Ridings’ Federation, 79 per cent of students achieved five or more A* to C grades including English and Maths, with 89 per cent achieving five or more A* to C grades.
At the school 18 year 11 students achieved 10 or more A and A* grades including Monica Biryiana, Robyn Brailey, Daisy Budden, Rebecca Clements, Adam Coltman, Harriet Davis, Hannah Doyle, Jessica Hughes, Victoria Jones, Annalise Lam, Krishan Mistry, Emily Norman, Alice Oliver, Izzy Pottergill, Sophie Ross, Conor Sinclair, Jenna Vickery and Becky Watson.
Rob Evans, academy principal, said: "I am thrilled by the performance of our Year 11 students in achieving the highest ever results for the Academy.
"These results are a reflection of the students’ talents and dedication, the support of their parents/carers, together with the first class teaching of the Academy staff."
