A NEW arrival in Dursley has a birthday date that will be difficult to forget.
Six-day-old Phoebe Elizabeth Pritchard was born last Friday, November 11 Armistice Day, which means her birthday is 11-11-11.
The unique birthday was not a huge surprise for the mum and dad Kelly Evans, 27, and Josh Pritchard, 27, because November 11 was little Phoebe’s due date - putting her in the rare five per cent of babies who arrive on time.
Kelly said: "It is a special date because it was her due date, it’s all the 11s and it was Remembrance Day."
Kelly, who is a full-time mum, said despite the 14-hour labour the home-birth went well.
She said: "She didn’t want to come. We didn’t know what she was but I kept saying she must be a girl because only a girl would be this stubborn."
Phoebe eventually arrived at the family’s Uley Road home at10.26pm weighing a healthy 6 lbs 10 oz.
Unfortunately dad Josh, who is an electrician, was working in Wolverhampton and did not make it back in time but big brother four-year-old Aidan was on hand for most of the day helping mum.
Kelly said: "He has taken to being a big brother a lot quicker than I thought he would.
"He wanted to get in the birthing pool with me but he went to stay at my dad’s."
