Dursley road to reopen after water repairs

LONG Street in Dursley will reopen to traffic later this morning.

The road was closed yesterday, February 2, while work crews from Severn Trent repaired a water leak, after reports of low water pressure in the area.

A spokesman said: "Unfortunately, we discovered further problems with the pipe work yesterday afternoon and had to carry out three excavations instead of two. The problems here have been going on for 18 months to 2 years but we have now completed the repairs this morning.

"The road closure is coming down and the reinstatement should be done by dinnertime.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this vital work."
