COUNTY health bosses have settled out of court over the transfer of services.
NHS Gloucestershire and campaigner Michael Lloyd released a joint statement this afternoon, February 9.
Mr Lloyd, a pensioner from Stroud, launched a legal challenge against NHS Gloucestershire’s plans to transfer the county’s nine community hospitals, including the new Vale Community Hospital in Dursley, and local health services, to a Community Interest Company (CIC) last year.
The two sides had spent the past two days at the High Court in London, however, NHS Gloucestershire has said it will now start a new process to explore the best option for providing community services in Gloucestershire.
The two parties said ending the legal proceedings was in everyone’s best interests.
