POLICE are appealing for information after a pedestrian was hit by a car which failed to stop in Frampton Cotterell.
The victim, a 30-year-old, was walking along Lower Stone Close in the direction of Church Road when she was struck by an old style red Ford Fiesta travelling in the opposite direction. The driver failed to stop at the scene or report the collision.
It happened at 1.15pm on Friday, April 6. The woman was left with leg and hip injuries which required treatment in hospital.
A police spokesman said: "An investigation is underway to identify the vehicle and its driver.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the vehicle being driven shortly beforehand or knows who is responsible should contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101."
