POLICE have made more arrests in Dursley after officers seized suspected class A and B drugs from properties in the town.


Officers carried out warrants at properties in Rosebery Road and Welling Close yesterday morning, Thursday, July 19.

Police said they found a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine at an address in Rosebery Road, and a quantity of cannabis at a property in Welling Close.


The two arrests are part of an ongoing operation, codenamed Thor, to crack down on offences in the Stroud and Dursley area and follow six arrests on Thursday, July 12.


Chief Inspector Andy Wasley said: "This operation is part of our wider work to tackle drugs and firearms offences and to ensure that those involved in illegal activity are put before the courts.


"We are very grateful for the support of the local community this morning and hope that our actions today reflect the Constabulary’s commitment to combat these offences and keep the county’s streets safe."

* A 36-year-old man from Dursley was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and remains in police custody.

*A 29-year-old woman was issued with a formal caution for possession of a class B drug.
