POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a weekend collision on the M5.


Several cars are believed to have been involved in the crash at about 8.50am on Saturday, July 28 on the southbound side of the carriageway.

The accident happened between junctions 11a, for Brockworth, and junction 12, for Gloucester.


Two women and two children were injured and several of the casualties were airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol in a serious but not life threatening condition.

The road was closed for several hours while a collision investigation took place.


Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 125 of July 28.
