CATTLE Country Adventure Park in Berkeley is searching for a deserving child this winter to open its festive ice rink and become a VIP.

The attraction is busy recreating its annual festive synthetic ice rink as part of its Winter Wonderland and wants to offer one lucky child the chance to be the star of the show.

General manager of Cattle Country Stuart Burnell is looking for a child who may have battled an illness, undergone an act of bravery, or is simply a child hero and an inspiration to others.

Children or parents can write a letter to the park or post a message on the park’s Facebook page outlining why they deserve to be picked to open the rink and have the first skate.

Mr Burnell said: “There are a lot of child stars out there who deserve to be rewarded in some way and we are therefore looking for a child to become our VIP.

“They can come along with their family, cut our official ribbon to mark the rink opening on and be the first person to skate on the festive attraction.

“We are opening the rink on October 4, so please get in touch now outlining why you or your child deserves to be honoured.”

Cattle Country’s synthetic rink will operate every weekend from October 4, during the school holidays, and it will also be available for private parties.

The fun continues during half term, from October 24 to October 31, at Spooktacular Halloween with pumpkin carving, falconry shows and a trip through the tunnel on the ghost train.
