A NEW exhibition has just opened celebrating an air training corps based in Dursley.

Dursley Heritage Centre is displaying artefacts to mark the 75th Anniversary of 649 (Dursley) Squadron Air Training Corps, one of the oldest in the country.

The exhibition will feature photographs and information about the group’s history since its formation and will run until late March.

Also still running in the Heritage Centre is a small exhibition which remembers those men (and one woman) who are commemorated on the town's First World War memorial.

This display changes every three months and recalls those who died in the equivalent three month period 100 years ago.

The Heritage Centre is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
