POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was assaulted outside the bus station in Merrywalks, Stroud on Saturday, February 21.
The incident took place at about 3.30pm when the woman was struck in the face by a man receiving a bleeding nose and a cut lip.
The victim got on the Number 63 Nailsworth bus soon afterwards. It is believed several people witnessed the incident.
The suspect is described as being white, about 5’ 9” tall, of proportionate build, with dark hair and blue eyes, about 32 years of age, wearing a white T shirt over a blank long sleeved T shirt, a Nike draw string bag and black jogging bottoms.
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting Incident Number 283 of 21 February and crime number 3916/15.
