THE police are appealing for witnesses following an assault and robbery in a park in Gloucester.
Between the hours of 4.45am and 5.45am on Saturday, March 28 a man was walking home through Gloucester Park after a night out.
He was approached by two males who stopped and asked him for a cigarette. He was then attacked by the men, one of whom hit him twice in the head.
They stole his iPhone and cash from his wallet then left him on the ground unconscious with cuts to his face.
Gloucestershire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have seen the man unconscious on the ground, to please call 101 quoting incident number 89 of 28th March 2015.
