A CAMERA shop in Dursley is throwing its support behind a charity campaign by giving children in the area the chance to have their photo taken with Gromit.
Clifton Cameras, in Parsonage Street, is supporting to Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal for Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.
In February the store welcomed the Kisses Gromit into their store, a unique Silver Gromit, covered in lipstick kisses and with a bespoke white cap. It is the work of renowned Hong Kong artist Kevin Mayou who created it for Gromit Unleashed in Bristol.
Staff from the store will be out and about with the Gromit over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, letting children pose with pictures in exchange for charitable donations.
There will be other activities and items of interest for families – including a count the Gromit competition in which children can take a guess at how many small Gromits are hiding throughout the shop.
Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, provides life-saving equipment, facilities and comforts for patients and their families.
Since 1995, The Grand Appeal has raised over £31 million in support of sick babies and children at Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Special Care Baby Unit.
Keep an eye out on Parsonage Street on April 3, 4 and 6, for your chance to see the Kisses Gromit.
