MEMBERS of an Olveston bowling club have found an ideal opportunity to relieve any aches or pains though a new sponsorship deal with a clinic in Thornbury.

Olveston and District Bowling Club has signed a £400 plus sponsorship deal with Optimus Chiropractic and Physiotherapy Clinic based in Thornbury.

James Scrimshaw and his business partner Matt Snell from Optimus visited the club to meet up with members and explain the services and benefits that they have to offer.

Their team of chiropractors and physiotherapists have over 40 years of combined experience and their aim is to rid the patient of pain and return them to full fitness in a friendly and caring environment.

Graham Ellis who heads up the club's fundraising team is very happy with the new partnership.

He said: "When you get to a certain age, aches and pains can be put down to just getting older, but speaking to James and Matt, that is not necessarily the case."

This sponsorship deal is part of the 82 year old club's fundraising initiative towards their new pavilion that will cost upwards of £150,000.

Planning permission has been granted and the club is well on its way to be able to get phase one of their building programme off the ground.
