GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police have opened a murder inquiry following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called at 3.23am to the All Nations Community Centre, Chase Lane, Gloucester where a party was being held. 

After the party ended a seriously injured man was found in the car park and police officers and paramedics administered first aid. 

The man was taken by ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life and he was later pronounced dead.

A second man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries.  He has since undergone surgery and his condition is not considered life threatening.  A third man was treated for more minor injuries.

The Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector, Steve Porter said: “We would like to appeal to everyone who attended the party and anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward as they may have vital information that will assist with the investigation.

"We are particularly keen to identify a group of individuals who left the scene on foot at around the time of the incident and are appealing to them to come forward.   If you saw or heard a group of individuals leaving the scene we are asking you to please call and help us with our enquiries. 

"We are appealing for anyone who has any information of any kind in relation to this incident to please contact us.”  

The area remains cordoned off to protect the scene while investigations are continuing.
