At the end of the day £207 had been raised for the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

Four customers picked up the mic and belted out their favourite songs whilst a number of members of staff gave it a try throughout the day.

At 2pm, they were joined in with Tesco's Rockin' Air Guitar Breaker which was taking place across all Tesco stores in the county staff in Cam performed their impressive air guitars to the track, Smoke on the Water".

Antony Giuliano, community champion at Tesco in Cam, said: "Our 'rock the shop' event was a great success with both our customers and colleagues taking part. The aim of the event was to raise money for our National Charity Partnership between the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

"We actively encourage our colleagues to participate in fundraising events in-store and they never disappoint."
