A CREEPY cottage made of sweets will be unveiled at Cattle Country as part of its Halloween Spooktacular.

The adventure park near Berkeley will be hosting its Halloween celebrations between October 22 and November 1 this year and is busy creating a cottage based on Hansel and Gretel.

The cottage will be true to the fairy tale where children were enticed into the witch’s captivity by eating sweets from her candy-themed cottage.

To meet the wicked witch children must first board a tractor ride for a park tour, before navigating their way through the spooky willow maze.

After completing the challenge children will be greeted by Cattle Country’s wicked witch and can listen to tales around her cauldron.

Children will also have the chance to skate on the park’s synthetic ice rink and toast marshmallows around a campfire.

Other activities planned as part of the Halloween celebrations include pumpkin carving, a scarecrow trail around the park and spooky face painting.

Cattle Country’s general manager, Stuart Burnell, said: “Building on the success of last year’s October half term we are planning our biggest ever Halloween extravaganza.

“Children love to immerse themselves in the fun of Halloween and our wicked witch will ensure the children have a terrifying time at her spooky candy cottage.

“After listening to scary stories around the cauldron they will be treated to some tasty candy sweets before returning to the park for more Halloween activities.”
