LOWER Cam and Coaley now officially have a new vicar with the Rev Sue Greatorex installed by the new bishop of Gloucester Rachel Treweek.

In a moving service at Coaley parish church the Right Rev Rachel Treweek, assisted by the archdeacon of Gloucester Jackie Searle, conducted the service of institution and induction of Rev Greatorex on Monday, September 28.

Representatives from the parish councils, schools, and community organisations in Cam and Coaley, as well as clergy from surrounding parishes, welcomed the new minister. As well as Sue's husband and family, both parishes choirs, and congregations were also present.

The service which included three hymns chosen by Sue, also involved the new minister being presented with symbols of ministry including a bible, prayer book, and bread & wine.

Afterwards, refreshments were served at Coaley Village Hall.
