A BEACON was lit atop Berkeley Castle last night to mark the Queen's 90th birthday.
Hundreds of people joined a procession from the centre of Berkeley to the castle, led by Charles Berkeley.
Shortly after 7.30pm the beacon was lit.
Amongst the attendees were members of the town's Brownies and Guides groups who gave a rousing rendition of happy birthday for the Queen before heading off to play in the castle's grounds.
