AN E-FIT has been released in connection with a burglary that occurred in Cerney Wick, near Cirencester, on Saturday 14 May.
Between 6pm and 6.25pm, a man forced entry to a farmhouse and began to conduct an untidy search of the home. The homeowner, a man in his 70s, disturbed the offender who then threatened him. The offender fled the scene empty handed leaving the victim unharmed.
He is described as white, of a muscular build, aged in his 40s or 50s, with dark greying hair and had a local accent. Officers investigating the burglary have liaised with the victim to put together an e-fit of the offender.
Sergeant Andy Wood, overseeing the investigation, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the victim and we hope releasing this e-fit will jog someone’s memory and prompt information to be provided to us.”
Anyone who recognises the e-fit or who has information on the burglary is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 431 of 14 May.
