POLICE in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses after a tent, belonging to a homeless man, was deliberately set on fire.

The incident happened between midday and 9.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 June) in the park area off Metz Way near KFC.

The victim returned to the tent, which held all of his possessions inside, to find that it had been set on fire. Police are treating the incident as arson.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 491 of 21 June.
