POLICE are appealing for information about the death of a man in Lydbrook at the end of June.

Mark Kentish, 55, from Solihull, died at the Stowfield Business Park in Lydbrook in the early hours of Thursday 23 June.

Police arrived at the scene at around 11pm on Tuesday 22 June, after being called by two members of staff who had come into contact with Mr Kentish.

Mr Kentish was detained by officers, but shortly afterwards they noticed he had become unresponsive and began first aid. An air ambulance came to the scene but he was sadly pronounced dead soon after midnight.

A 45-year-old Dudley man and a 47-year-old man from Quinton in Birmingham were then arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the case and bailed to return to police on 25 July, pending further inquiries.

The case was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as Mr Kentish died while in police custody.

While the IPCC continue their investigation into police contact with Mr Kentish during the incident, Gloucestershire Constabulary officers who work as part of the regional Brunel Major Crime Investigation Team will now lead the criminal investigation into Mr Kentish's death.

Anyone who has any information about the incident and hasn't already spoken to police or the IPCC should call 101 and quote incident 486 of 22 June.
