THE main road through Berkeley is due to be re-opened by August 12.
Canonbury Street has been closed following an arson which seriously damaged a former dry cleaners in the early hours of July 11.
Whilst making the building safe Gloucestershire County Council’s highways team has been forced to close the road. A council spokesman said that it was ‘hoped’ that the road could be re-opened by August 12.
Police are investigating the arson and released CCTV images of people they would like to speak to last week.
No one has been arrested since the images were released.
