POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man grabbed a woman by the waist on Wotton Hill.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, approached a 38-year-old woman from behind on Wednesday at around 9.30am, reaching out and holding both sides of her waist before being pushed off. The victim then fled the scene.
He is described as white, in his 60s, and was wearing glasses, a dark blue woollen beanie hat and brown corduroy trousers.
He did not attempt to follow her after the initial incident and the woman was not harmed during the incident.
Anyone who saw a man of this description in the area should call police on 101 quoting incident 227 of August 17.
